I’ve loved books ever since I was little. The first book I read (according to my parents) was Dumbo At Bat, but the first book I remember reading is Little House on the Prairie. I was homeschooled for much of my life, which allowed ample time for reading and library visits. While I spent many hours volunteering at my public library and the local school library, I didn’t start thinking seriously about becoming a librarian until I was in college.

I graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in English and an emphasis in Creative Writing. After taking a gap year, tutoring, teaching, and passing the GRE, I applied to UCLA’s masters program in Library and Information Science.

My two years in library school were my favorite period in my educational career. I met fantastic people who cared about books, young people, and intellectual freedom. I was introduced to new technologies, and new modes of professional thought. I am so excited to be entering the workforce as a middle school librarian at an independent school.

I’m writing from LEE & LOW, a children’s book publishing house that focuses on diversity. We have a few books that we think might be of interest and we were hoping you could review them on your blog. Is there an email address where I can reach you?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
